PRIVACY

Your rhythm.
On your device.

The current Tap BPM application calculates tempo in your browser. It does not record audio, upload your taps, or require an account.

Taps and results

Your tap times and calculated result are held in the page's memory. They are not sent to a server by the counter and are not saved as a persistent history. Reset clears the measurement. Reloading or closing the page also clears it; switching away pauses it.

Microphone, cookies, and analytics

This version does not request microphone access, use application cookies or local storage, or include advertising and analytics scripts. Fonts and visual assets are served with the site; there are no embedded videos, social widgets, or third-party font requests.

The public website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as your IP address, browser information, the requested address, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. This infrastructure processing is separate from the tap counter: your tap intervals and BPM result are not included in requests made by the application. Cloudflare may retain service and security records under its privacy policy.

Copying your BPM

Choosing Copy BPM writes the displayed tempo to your device's clipboard. Tap BPM does not read your existing clipboard. Your browser may restrict copying; if it does, you can select and copy the number yourself.

Email and external links

The Feedback link opens your email application. It does not send a message automatically. If you email [email protected], your email address and anything you include are received through Gmail and used to review or respond to your message. Do not send information you do not want included in that correspondence.

Technical reference links on the method page lead to external websites. Those sites handle requests under their own privacy practices.

Questions and changes

For questions about this explanation or a request concerning a message you sent, contact [email protected]. If the application adds analytics, accounts, ads, or other data processing, this page will need to be updated to describe those changes.
